Description

A women's sash, or stole, made of rust red wool with green satin trim.  Features lengths of black velvet framing floral embroidery done in blue, green, yellow and white embroidery thread, and metallic lace trim at each end.  Worn as part of a women's traditional provincial folk dress, or folkdräkt, costume from Östra Göinge, Skåne, Sweden.  See also C-0345a-21 through C-0345h-21 for other pieces of this costume, C-0345c-21 for a matching sash, and C-0594-26 for a matching apron.  Unattributed.
