Description

A female doll made of Styrofoam, felt, Swedish braid, birch, synthetic fiber, plastic, blue and wood.  Depicts the Swedish National folk dress, or folk drakt, costume.  The costume, made of felt, includes a blue skirt, a yellow ½-apron with a horizontal blue Swedish braid band with white daisies, a blue felt vest with trim in matching blue Swedish braid with white daisies, and an off-white felt blouse and cap/bonnet.  The doll has a conical Styrofoam lower body with a round wood base, a plastic head and ‘blonde’ synthetic fiber hair.    The figure holds a woven birch basket with blue and yellow striped Swedish braid trim around the top.  See also DD-0276-26 for a similar doll.  Unattributed.
