Description
A female doll made of flannel, cloth, wood, wire, yarn and paint.  Depicts traditional Swedish provincial folk dress, or folk drakt.  This costume includes a grey flannel dress, a red and white checkered ½-apron with red ribbon waistband and back ties, a red flannel scarf with fringed ends, a red flannel hat with red yarn tassel, and red mittens.  The doll features yellow, or blonde, yarn hair worn in a pair of braids with red ribbon ties, painted facial features, and a wood post, or dowel, with round wood base for the lower body.  “1996” written in black ink on the bottom of the base.  Attributed to Charlotte Weibull.  See also DD-0282-26 for accompanying male doll.
