Description
A female doll made of wood, fabric, yarn, and ink.  Depicts a working woman wearing a blue skirt with vertical stripes of red, taupe and white, a solid blue ½-apron, an off-white blouse, and a blue knit shawl.  The doll has a wooden head with ink-drawn facial features and taupe/white fiber hair worn in a braid bundled on the back of the head.  The figure also features wood ‘hands’ holding an oval blue basket with pink, green and white floral painted decoration on the front that contains three folded pieces of fabric and a wooden stick.  Burned inscription on the bottom of the wooden base: “Arbetarkvinna Nr 6955, IB 2007”.  There is an attached paper tag: “Akta Borlänge gumma, Ateljé Ottilia, Inger Bergqvist, Borlänge, Sweden.”  See also DD-0287-26 for a similar doll by Inger Bergqvist.
