Description

A jacket made of purple satin, with a mandarin collar, leg-o-mutton sleeves, eighteen roundwood buttons with brilliants, boning, and a dropped pointed waist at the front and back.  Worn as part of Mrs. Mathilda Allen Grandstrand's (1856 - 1926) wedding costume at her wedding to Charles Grandstrand on April 5, 1885.  See also C-0013b-81 for the accompanying skirt.  Unattributed.
