Description
A female doll made of fabric, wire, wood, thread and paint.  Depicts the traditional provincial folk dress, or folk drakt, of Asta, Västernorrland, Sweden.  This outfit includes a yellow dress, a ½-apron in a red, white and black print with a white and red Swedish braid waistband and back ties, a floral scarf, and a red headband.  The doll features yellow (blonde) thread hair worn in a pair of braids, painted facial features, a wood post mounted to a round wood base lower body.  Tag:  “Charlotte Weibull, Malmo, Sweden ©”.  Sticker on base: “Asta”.  Original Gammelgarden artifact number D-0241-11.  There is an accompanying male doll - presently numbered D-0241-11.
