Description

A male doll in traditional Sami, or Saami, or Sapmi, folk dress, or folk drakt, on skis.  This outfit includes a blue twill tunic with red braid trim at the bottom hem and red and yellow trim at the shoulders and cuffs, with braided red and yellow yarn tie and tassels at the neck and a black leather belt with braided red and green yarn with a red, green, white and blue tassel, blue twill pants with red and yellow yarn wound around the ankles, a blue hat with a black leather visor, red and yellow trim and a red yarn plume, and brown leather boots.  The doll has a leather face with no features, off-white cloth mittens/hands, and a pair of wood skis with black leather straps.  Original Gammelgarden artifact number D-0371-13.  Unattributed.
