Description

A hand-carved depiction of a Sami, or Saami, or Sapmi, man seated in, or riding in, a sled, or släde.  Featuring a natural wood sled with a seated Sami man with carved facial features and painted clothing in blue with red and yellow trim, and with a red yarn tassel on the hat and a red and yellow yarn tassel at his neck.  The piece also features a length of leather that connects from the front of the sled to the back.  Original Gammelgarden artifact number D-0357-13.  Unattributed.
