Description

A beige and blue cotton wall hanging with red Swedish Braid trim.  Red embroidered expression across the top beige row: “Nar som ljusen tandas därhemma" ("When the candles are lit at home"), and “Mina tankar till hemmet de ga” ("My thoughts to the home will go") embroidered across the bottom beige row.   The central blue panel includes embroidery of a central white scrolled candelabra with red candles with yellow flames, vertical columns of white ovals wrapped in white scrolls, and pairs of embroidered birds/doves with two yellow stars between them.  Unattributed.  Original Gammelgarden artifact number H-0685-09.
