2012 legislative proposal to modify portions of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, brought forward by the Information Policy Analysis Division (IPAD). The legislation was initiated by former IPAD director Laurie Beyer Kropuenske, and included modifications to procedures for challenging inaccurate or incomplete data maintained by government entities, as well as changes to public data access. The bill was opposed by former IPAD director Don Gemberling and data activist Rich Neumeister, and did not pass.
