Description
A plastic female doll depicting the national costume from Aarhus, Denmark.  This outfit includes a green dress with lace cuffs and bottom trim and red hearts on green ribbon around the bottom hem, a ½-apron with a green and white checkered pattern with vertical stripes comprised of embroidered dots in black, yellow, red and blue with lace trim, waistband and ties, a lace collar/scarf, an off-white sheer embroidered bonnet with lace coils at the sides and a satin ribbon tie, and off-white plastic slipper shoes.  The doll features a plastic head, hands and legs, has opening eyes, and light brown fiber hair worn in a pair of braids.  The doll is mounted on an oval metal stand.  The tag stitched to the back of the dress: “Danish Dolls, National Costume, Aarhus”.
