An example of needlework made of yarn stitched on a needlework canvas, with fabric backing and yarn fringe. Depicts a woman in traditional provincial folk dress, or folkdräkt, from Rättvik, Dalarna, Sweden. The folkdräkt costume features a blue skirt, a half-apron with horizontal stripes in orange, blue, white, green and yellow, a white blouse, a blue, green and orange ‘plaid’ scarf, a blue and orange cap with orange piping along the crown and trailing blue ribbons with orange tassels, and orange socks and green shoes. With a brown background with a stitched border of green, olive and green lines, and dark brown knotted fringe across the bottom. Unattributed. Original Gammelgården artifact number D-0825-23.
