Description

A brown and black woven wool shawl featuring an ornate woven floral pattern, with hemmed sides and black wool knotted fringe.  Has light brown thread remnants of what was likely a monogram in one corner.  Made in Sweden.  Worn by original owner Alma Andersen when she travelled from Sweden to America around 1885.  See C-0589-26 through C-0592-26 for other shawls Ms. Andersen brought when she emigrated.
